[FlashTrek: Assault]

Great game.

Fun game, it got me hooked for an hour.

Too easy though, I ended on level 50 with a screen full of ships and then the game lagged my PC so much I had to quit.

Bugs I found:

I bought the 2nd last phaser and equipped it. I clicked on equip again, then back at the level 1 phaser and after that I couldn't equip the phaser I just had bought, so I bought another one (the last) and lost some credits for nothing.

I couldn't buy any of the other upgrades.

If you buy something and the level ends you lose the status bar but you still get the vehicle (I think!), also it's hard to know what builds what after a while since if you point at the ship you don't get it's name but it's weapon, so I ended up building the wrong type of ships all the time. What ships? Those things that create the nebula (LAAAGGG!!!).

Overall nice game but tooooooooo EASY for me, and I think for others too.

Make more of these! I like them A LOT :) And maybe next time make it so that you could do massive wars without lag, ok?

Sorry...I guess I kind of took for granted that players would know what the Akira, Sovereign looks like, etc. I'm such a Trekkie :-)

Ive noticed all the defend your castle games are easy once you get to a certain point with tons of defenses. But I really just designed the game to offer distractive entertainment, not long-term gameplay.

But it seems like theres a new tutorial made every week or even every day! I think people want points really bad or something... not meaning you but the others.

Some good, some bad, same as any other Flash. I think it would be nice if there was an NG Flash tut collection, where the best tuts were available to newb Flashers

Everything in a nutshell

Thank you very much for this tutorial and for the other 2 ones that I just viewed. They gave me more insipartion to continue my flash adventure and I thank you for that. All I can say that you listed some of the very basic things and I think there is alot more things you could add in your tutorials, like maybe how to import .avi files?

I personally advice people to use cbt-cafe because they have everything a flash newbie needs to know IN VIDEO TUTORIALS with someone guiding. In 1 day you can become from Mr.NoSkillInFlash to Mr. Amateur Flash maker. I agree that you can make very good flash animations without being a artist. I am an artist, but I do agree what you said. I find it troublesome sometimes to animate when it fights against my artistic behaviour, example: I want to animate a character who is far far away. I don't really need to put much effort in it artistically but I just have to being an artist by nature. I hope that made sense... :P
